Process Hazard Analysis Team Leaders for Ammonia Refrigeration - (2 days)
This two day course is designed to teach participants to lead and participate in ammonia refrigeration process hazard analysis (PHA) studies.
The course is intended for PHA team leaders, team members, engineers, and safety professionals. Course participants obtain certification demonstrating
compliance with OSHA 29 CFR § 1910.119(e) and EPA 40 CFR Part 68 standards. Participants will also gain hands-on experience through interactive
workshops using the What If/ Checklist method, which is the PHA technique most commonly used by the ammonia refrigeration industry.

- Ability to effectively organize a PHA team, prepare for a study, and determine appropriate PHA scope and study objectives
- Experience in serving as team leader for PHA studies using the What If/Checklist methodology
- Ability to properly document a PHA study, produce a PHA report, and manage the recommendations generated by the study
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art Windows®-based computer software program for organizing, leading, and documenting PHAs

Completion of a basic PSM course, RMP course, or equivalent knowledge |
