John R. Lee Joins AcuTech as Principal Engineer and Editor of AcuSafe News
 


AcuTech is pleased to announce that John R. Lee has joined AcuTech Consulting’s San Francisco office as a Principal Engineer. John has over 30 years of experience in the petroleum industry, 15 years of which has been specifically in the Personnel Safety and Process Safety Management areas.

John brings a wealth of practical, hands-on process safety experience to AcuTech. He has led HAZOP studies, participated in world wide Safety Management System assessments, and developed successful Risk Management Plans and Process Safety Management Systems at a major Exxon refinery. These include Management of Change; Incident Investigations; Process Safety Information; Operating Procedures; Mechanical Integrity; Emergency Response; and Employee Participation.

John is well versed in the process safety regulatory area having participated as an industry representative in the development of CAL-OSHA’s Process Safety Standard, The California Office of Emergency Services’ Risk Management Plan regulation, and the Bay Area Air Quality Management District’s Pressure Relief Valve rule. He was instrumental in influencing the Federal EPA’s final changes to the Risk Management Plan rule and was active in the American Petroleum Institute.
