AcuTech Client Passes EPA Inspection

An AcuTech Consulting client in Region III passed a detailed inspection by EPA inspectors last week. The facility, a food processing plant, built its Process Safety and Risk Management Program with the help of AcuTechs Eastern Consulting Group based in Princeton, NJ.

The inspection included examination of the primary documents used to support the Risk Management Plan filing submitted by the plant in June. EPA Headquarters in Washington has drafted a checklist for its field personnel to use in RMP auditing. The inspector relied upon this checklist in conducting the review, which resulted in NO penalties for the facility.

The EPA is expected to conduct large-scale audits of Risk Management Program facilities in the near future. In Region III (Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia) alone, 60 checklist audits are planned before October.

AcuTechs staff is available to assist with any immediate or anticipated inspections. To reach us, contact the nearest AcuTech Consulting office, or e-mail us at help@acutech-consulting.com.
